Poem by Billy Cancel

ruined hilltop castle bleached out abstraction i've had a few

gestures towards neutral minimalist intervention in small space
reader as accomplice so between vertical being horizontal land-

scape paint up get ready for the new season the grace to live
variously     black trees white turret themes themes themes
not mere cogs in the meadow.     luminous city between rapid
translation & retrospect you made me fluctuate     i was walking
down the street the other day to disrupt future occults     i was
walking down the street the other day a man came up to me i
was under cyber attack     if the punchline was a rack of gold black
pink what other objects & text might have stuck?     slow camera
spread radiant subject that's what it's all about deep valley drive
easy oil planned variant for bravo bull's eye dazzling all over pattern
courtesy of competition's discipline a swing of lord's meat
summer open spaces annual sovereign dust run but fragile start
from bright empty tentative past neutral segment smooth through
dark cryptic via hailed significance please come quick am alone
never ending nerve work strong potential ghost candidate early
with your doppelganger she throws the
queen of hearts i drop the nine of puss

you're the fiscal cliff

by Donna Kuhn

the bed is a church
u have a plate for
him so he can take
off without u

the tall building is me
a plate of men
very uncooked

your eyebrow is a church
sleepwalk me, work is bed
the bed is scared, u again

u lose your soup
talk and sleep
she is a bed

i can't serve u
i don't know u
i say i lost u once

u can get worse
stay, this bed is
very tall and has
long braids

i hope i'm not in boston
u died and i call u, u look
at me but u keep walking
away; i say think

u died and u sleep
the floor, she is never
there; you're in boston
and u died

woo woo woo woo woo
woo woo woo, i can't
settle down; your soup
takes off without u

you're the fiscal cliff
i can't know u, i'm done
i can't settle down and
sleep walk, someone
else
