Two Poems by Vernon Frazer

Jungle in the Sunset

pencils in the wind
the paint a sonic brush

no replay
or second breath left

to chance the rapture

crossed
a random view

its tonic hush
a melody set against sunset

and still
captured as movement
leaps

renewing
doldrum panthers in the absolute

Stretching Justification

internal faucet pirouetting
shade columnar passage
to want ignited short-term

longing the frenzied canto
in the purity of justification
stretching lines past water

dancing umbrage for wind
no circle meets movement
its chance averts a choice
before its last cost a regret
massaged their loose fade
to facade the cult acclaims

form content in its own milk
to dry the strayed returning
