Two Poems by Leigh Herrick


multi vers [e] al fractal

consider the cavern of night to be your motherly blessed w/hole the mouth called mouth out of which is born word and flesh   out of which dreams birth death to dark and light to passage and now look to the dark and warm worn in cavernous cradling and you will remember perhaps being brushed against ribs being pushed through pubic origins and you will recall perhaps all floating that is tied to you as something through where and when

the appled rhythm of yesterday’s forgetting & I falling but sleep thoughts join me on the flow’s sunny flare & then the prepared chartreuse mental scenting after which follow pink petals’ harmony buzz to a kneeling song walkway’s cuticled sedum returned against a barred rampart to ages drawing yes and where only in such a dream the crow flies you tattooed on a poem
