Lestrygonians by Larissa Shmailo

Codfish for instance.

Malaga raisins, that bluey greeny.

Bring your own bread and butter. Mum's the word.

Potatoes and marge, marge and potatoes. It’s after they feel it.

Proof of the pudding.

Vats of porter: Rats get in too.

Rats: vats

Glazed apples: No accounting for tastes.

A finger in the pie. Pillar of salt, fried in the best butter

all the same.

Prepare to receive soup.

Note: This poem is an erasure from an episode from Ulysses.
