Returning Oddity

under

the penumbral glimmer

     the mysteries assume 

voltage cries mystic exit polish

      when

               surface holsters

                                         break

          the simmer from the holding strain

                       *

the rocks between 

hold the current crashing 

         tunnel pores

where returning legends

     somewhere 

                        home

                                  plunder 

the crevices offered as price

before the crisis can preface 

     rebuking the crux with a muttered epithet

                       *

electric cleavage 

leaves the mythical anomic 

       as the charge 

       settles with returning absence

to a presence

                      forgotten till grayed 

        simmering desire

a toupee turned feathered

as old tales told

                          of iron fists at sea

Working the Angle

a rotor glyph

motored past conveyance

close to any vehicle

                         alarmed

or left empty

along

          the velcro causeway

                      circuit         

     a claim derided

to the stationery rodeo station

     no pickup left

                           on schedule

or circuit wrench

to work the monkey’s last key

                        to image flight

                 for a close abundance

           left unsealed          its

           runway as a         past

           vat receptor      emptied

                               of

                     memory filters

               organic detritus gasps

                   before the last curve

                        ends its angled bend
